manga punk sai‘Sup bitches, welcome to Sai’s Asylum verson 3.0! I’ve updated the site to Wordpress and I have to say I’m very pleased about it. Okay so the fanart is missing, the shop is scaled down, and alot of the art is missing descriptions but overall this will be better, trust me. Check out the galleries, they’re powered by the fabulous ANIGA and look pretty damn sweet. Parody into Dreams has its own spot on the main menu (for now) and is powered by LazyK Gallery. Yeah see the only problem with using gallery plugins is they can generally be used for only one thing. I’d have used the ANIga gallery for it all, but then PiD and people’s fanart would be in the sidebar image rotation and we can’t have that, cause obviously it’s ALL. ABOUT. ME.

But some improvements in this new version. First of all: blogging. I will be blogging about, pretty much whatever I feel like. Video games, politics, internets, deviantART, books I’ve read, movies I’ve seen, little stuff that pisses me off for no good reason etc. And you can bet there will be rants, just wait for something to set me off. As you can see there are already some articles down below, feel free to read through them, rate them, comment on them, utilize the "Tell a Friend" links (tell your friends man, its the cool thing to do) hell put them on Digg you can do that too. Wordpress is fantastic.

That is certainly one of the biggest improvements around here: you can comment on most ANYTHING. Comment on individual pieces of art (link to individual pieces as well, finally), comment on pages of PiD, comment on the blog posts, just comment at all! You don’t need to sign up or anything. Come on now people I know you’re out there, don’t be shy and make me look foolish.

You may have also noticed I have second ad system up besides the Google ads. Just like I chose Adsense because I thought it was a good system and have found good stuff through the ads on other people’s sites, I decided to join the Amazon Associates Program because its very nicely done, allows for a variety of unobtrusive ads, allows for relevant ads, and what can I say? I just friggin’ love Amazon. And so that’s it for ads. In the future I may be utilizing a third ad program called Project Wonderful, but that one is more about selling very cheap adspace to other personal websites.

I’ll be adding descriptions to everything in the art galleries, so just sit tight. Art is alot easier to upload for me now though, so site maitenence is much easier. You may notice that alot of the images have stupid file names like "image034" and such, sorry about that. That’s left over from the old gallery system, and considering all those images were already marked with the website address I decided to just reuse them (I changed the filenames of the comics, however.)

I’ll try to blog regularly, even if its just some little amusing thing. In the coming months I’ll find a way to get all the fanart that’s been done for me back up (although I’ll likely need a third gallery solution), and in the future I’ll be adding more sections. I really want to add information about all my characters for the interested (and for the angel-related ones include my personal research for the benefit of others as well as to clear up what’s taken from old texts and what’s just made up by me) but I may just do that through the blog at first (unless someone can direct me to a good, still active wiki plugin for WP).

And that’s all folks, stay tuned because Sai’s Asylum is alive and kicking once more.

this whole article is made redundant by the fact that the avatar will cause death from laughter to anyone who looks at it ;_;

What made me smile is the front page warning that IE is having problems and everyone else is ok.
