I've actually had the opposite experience with computers; all of the PCs I've used have had horrible shit happen to them for some reason (and I don't do anything that I wouldn't normally do on my computer) but I've had my eMac for a while and I've never had any problems.

Of course I know that PCs are great machines and can do just as much if not more things than many Macs, but I love it anyway. The ability to tap a button and have all of my open windows come onto the screen is a function that I probably would go mad without. I do miss the Print Screen button though. XD

Oh man. *Dies laughing*

I'm currently on a Mac, actually. And while it's not as good as the best PCs I've ever been on, it's also five years old.

I will admit, I miss some of the games I could play on PCs-- or would, if any our PCs could run at all/not crash Sims 2 every twenty minutes-- but the Mac works so much better; I've yet to run across a program made for Mac that wouldn't run, as opposed to the PCs. (One of the PCs crashes if you try to run Word.) And though I've only been using the Mac for about... ah, four months or so...? I've had far fewer problems with OSX than I have on any of our three other computer's XP operating system. (And personally, I prefer Windows 98 over XP.)

Also, I love the commercials. But mostly because I now ship Mac*PC, and lemme tell you-- the fic and art? Are awesome. :D

"They’re both useless pieces of crap only good for editing crappy vacation videos and AMVs of Dragon Ball Z set to Linkin Park."

Nuthin' wrong with Linkin Park...

I've personally never been able to see precisely WHY Macs should be any better for graphics than a PC, and anyway, the line between a PC and a Mac is becoming even more blurred now that they're using Intel chips...
Of course, my parents are of the opinion that you're not a true nerd until you have Windows and Linux on duel-boot. This is what comes of being raised by two engineers. Screws you up good.

"The ads and the Mac fanboys and even Apple’s goddamn website will claim that you have to buy all sorts of expensive shit to protect your PC, which is untrue, because some of the best programs out there like Ad Aware and AVG come in very effective completely free versions."

Ad Aware and AVG are the only two I use and they have worked, like seriously. :O (since I don't feel like writing a comment about as long as this article about how you are completely right and how many ways PCs are better than macs, I ll just say,"MACS SUCK MONKEYDICK"

also, the only good mac is a Bigmac, and i'm getting kinda tired of them too.

I'm more of a Linux person, You've heard the complaint over and over "Windows crashes lots" well as a Linux person I spend time helping people adapt to Linux and what gets thrown in my face more often than I'd like is "Linux crashes lots" and then you have the Mac. I've used Mac but when I use it for my normal stuff it "crashes lots".

Add to that I've been helping a kid learn computers. He's very advanced for his age. We did an honest assessment of his needs and determined his best choice is Windows. Never ever crashes for him. Ever. Period. I got him an account on a BSD server for the few server type stuff he wants to do and it works perfectly for him.

Why? He uses Windows as it was designed to be used. I use Linux as it was designed to be used. He uses BSD as it was designed to be used.
Step one inch out of that box and CRASH

I've been a supporter of Mac for a while but recently Mac types have been getting really obnoxious. Telling me that Linux is crap because I need to set up complex details for the computer to work.
But ... see that's easy for me. I've woken up a long time ago and realized that is asking a lot of people who don't want to learn that much about computers. However I have.

And taking a little lesson for the kid. My laptop runs Windows. 99.999% of my work is done on my computer at home that I access over the Internet from my laptop (even when I'm at home) and the rest I do on Windows.
My only problem now is my old laptop died and the new one uses Vista.
It dose not crash. It's quite smooth. It's the whole "Are you sure you want to run this program" and "This game isn't supported on Vista yet" that's annoying me.

Movie... Was hilarious. I'm so finding it and sharing it with my friends XD I THINK one of them actually uses a Mac, and has said several times that it's better for art. But then I can do the exact same thing... As for anti-virus programs? Let the 90 day trial version for Norton run out, and then get AVG. My old Middle school used it for the computer network for God sakes. Really, it's quite good.

I hate things that are too user-friendly... I can't experiment at all and really, I need to be able to do what I want on a computer.

Oh god I know D= I've used a mac once. And it turned me off for life. Everything is user friendly, yes. But you can't choose what you actually want to do! If you want to do so and so then you go to the obvious program, but then it just does it all automatically and it's not what you want, and it could have done what you wanted but they thought you were to stupi and and yeah.

Also, that video is the best video ever. Always makes me laugh.

I would have to agree
I only have had trouble with a mac. That guy in that video is not over exaggerating because I've had more problems than he mentioned.

Also Norton Anti-Virus is not as good as it seems. I does miss a lot of viruses and some times you have to force it to look at them. (Personal experience, it missed viruses in some folders.)
