As you can see right up there under the header, I’ve got some ad space available for all you fine people out there. If you got a webcomic or an art site or hell even your Gaia auctions (you damn weeaboo) you want to get out there on the cheapy cheap you can bid on the space. The ads are brought to you by Project Wonderful which, true to its name, is a wonderful project. It’s free to sign up and it can show you a variety of websites offering ad space. All you need to do is bid on a space and wait for it to be approved. Some sellers don’t even have it set up to approve first. I do though, so if you bid and it doesn’t show up right away don’t panic.
But be wary! Someone else can come along and bid more for the space you inhabit, and that goes for any Project Wonderful ad space you purchase on any website.
The current ad under the header is likely going to appear elsewhere on the site in the same spot, and I’ll have more ads popping up around here so just sit tight. You’ll also see the return of my Google Adsense ads, so if you want to be a sport and click on some of those occassionally it’d really help.
Other than that as you can see I’ve made some more adjustments to the site and I’ll likely be making more as the days go by. I’ll finally finish reorganizing the galleries and I’ll probably be updating the menu with some things (and maybe making it more compact, I haven’t decided yet.) I’ve also got things, yes, THINGS, planned in the new year, so stick around.
Also also, I’m going to try to find some way to make the "Recent Posts" area display the date that post was posted so you don’t come here worrying that I haven’t updated in forever and a day.

A few days ago I was helping out a customer at work. She said her 14 year old son had a Wii and no real games for it so immediately I recommended Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, boasting what a good and fun game it was. And she said no. Why? She didn’t want her kids exposed to anything with magic in it.
My stomach sank, not only because I knew I’d have to be dealing with someone annoyingly uncooperative but because I knew if I took anywhere near a combative attitude with her I’d risk causing a scene in a crowded store. Even after I lightly quipped "well how do you feel about Sci-Fi?" and reached for Metroid Prime 3 she repeated her feelings about magic in the content of entertainment, proceeding to tell me her life story about how she allowed Lord of the Rings because her husband liked it (and just sorta ignored me when I interjected that Zelda TP was alot like LoTR) but she personally believed in her "personal beliefs" that "whatever you put in is what you put out."

There’s alot more I feel that could have been done with Journey of Dreams, and if there’s one thing I’m completely on board with in IGN’s rather harsh review is that this could very well reopen the franchise to better games in the future. An exciting possibility yes, but whether Sega would drive it into the ground like they have Sonic or whether it’ll simply fade back into obscurity is something unforeseeable.

Not too long ago, I found myself becoming a Death Note fan literally overnight. …It was kind of an accident. You see, after a year or so of people telling me over and over to read Death Note and me ignoring them, I happened to catch the second episode on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, having turned on the TV to that station thinking it was Sunday. By the end of the episode I said to myself "Wow… I didn’t know the main character was this insane" and decided I needed to see more.
I had just been watching Avatar episodes on Veoh.com so I decided to see if Death Note was on there. Sure enough it was and I watched the entire anime series over the course of 3 days. Now I’ve also collected and read all 12 volumes of the manga. At this point I have come to the conclusion that the goth kiddies who carry around little black notebooks and worship "Kira" have completely misinterpreted the plot.
Without many spoilers, I’d like to give a little review of the anime, the manga, and the overall plot. But mostly I wish to discuss how I believe many fans of the show misconstrue the main character Light Yagami entirely.

Well today I have completed the video game Assassin’s Creed, a game I was looking forward to for quite some time and was one of the main motivating factors in my acquisition of an Xbox 360. For those of you who have heard mixed reviews of this title I’m going to tell you now: it really is a love it or hate it game. Not because the people on either side are stubborn, either, but because your personal taste will decide if you like this game or not. If you like your games to be strictly games rather than something more toward an interactive movie then you probably want to avoid this one. Likewise if you don’t like the idea of being unable to just run in and stab people to complete your missions you may want to rent it first. That’s not to say Assassin’s isn’t a good game, it’s an absolute marvel, but many of the things that are special about it are, in fact, easily taken for granted.
